Verizon has been in a very generous mood recently. As a part of its BOGO promotion, the carrier is offering you two phones for the price of one, and the deal includes such hot devices as the HTC One M8, Samsung ATIV SE and Samsung Galaxy S5. It means that essentially you can grab Sammy’s new babe for half of its regular price, however, you will have to sign your name on two contracts, one for each device. Not interested but still want the phone with a healthy discount (and who wouldn’t)? All you have to do is hit Amazon and you can have the Samsung Galaxy S5 for Verizon for 50% off.
Deal on Galaxy S5 for Verizon at half price
The retailer is currently offering the Samsung Galaxy S5 for Verizon Wireless for just $99.99 with a new two-year contract, which is half price comparing to offer at Verizon’s store. Before you make your order, you should know one thing, though. Only new Verizon customers as well as those adding a new line to their account can take advantage of the deal. If you are already on Verizon and eligible for upgrade, the phone will set you back $149.99. It’s not as sweet as $100 in savings, but still those 50 bucks will stay in your wallet.
However, if you don’t feel like getting yourself tied to the Verizon network for the next two years, you will be better off buying the handset from carrier store. Amazon is asking $699.99 for the Galaxy S5 without contract which compared to Verizon’s price of the phone is a whole $100 more.
Obviously, the price cut is not permanent, but Amazon doesn’t disclose when the deal expires. The Samsung Galaxy S5 won’t be officially released until April 11th and that’s when carriers will start shipping the device. Amazon Prime subscribers, however, will have a chance to get their hands on the phone earlier. Out of all the color options Verizon is offering black and white, at least for the moment, and this is the choice you will have if you stick with Amazon.
