Previous rumors suggested that Samsung’s new flagship, the Galaxy S4, might be announced in March, and guess what? The rumors turned out to be true, and even better, we now know the exact date, which is March 15. Apparently, folks from Sam Mobile talked to a “trusted insider” who not only confirmed the date but also added a few interesting details regarding the phone’s launch dates.
Samsung Galaxy S4 – Arrival Time
The first to get the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be Europe, probably in early April. Then, by the end of that month, the Galaxy S4 should arrive in Asia. The rest of the world, that is North America, Australia and Africa, will receive the phone in late May or early June. All major US carriers are expected to carry the phone.
No invitations to the big event have been sent so far, but March 15 is still more than a month away. Besides, Samsung is probably pretty busy preparing for WMC in Barcelona this month. While we wait for more news to come, let’s go over Galaxy S4’s specs one more time.
The handset is said to feature a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED full HD display at 440 ppi, 13 megapixel rear camera with 1080p Full HD video capture at 30 fps and 2 megapixel front-facing camera capable of shooting 720p HD videos. The phone will allegedly be powered by a 1.8 GHz eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor with Mali-T658 (8-Core) GPU for graphics paired with 2 GB of RAM and will run Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean out of the box.
