The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini was first rumored as allegedly heading to Verizon Wireless. For some reason, however, the phone appears to be missing in action. There is no word from the carrier when and if it ever is going to offer the device. Don’t make a sad face. It looks like you will be able to grab the miniaturized version of Samsung’s flagship smartphone from at least two of the US largest carriers. According to @evleaks, the Galaxy S4 Mini is on its way to grace the shops of AT&T and Sprint.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini for AT&T and Sprint
On his Twitter account @evleaks posted photos of the handset in three color options. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini for Sprint is pictured in standard black mist and white frost hues. The AT&T model, on the other hand, has a bright pink body.
We might be reading to much into this, but since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month symbolized by pink color, it could mean the phone will be released later this month. Or it could be a pure coincidence. Will AT&T carry other color options? Honestly, we have no idea, but certainly it is very likely. As to possible launch date for Sprint, it remains unknown at this point.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is a scaled down version of the Galaxy S4 with more modest hardware. Key features of the device include a 4.3-inch 960 x 540 Super AMOLED display, a dual-core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and 1.5 GB of RAM. Inside its rather compact body, you can also expect to find an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 1.9-megaixel front-facing camera, LTE connectivity, 8GB of extendable internal memory, and a 1,900 mAh battery.
