If you are not keen on signing lengthy contracts with carriers, chances are that you may be a Boost Mobile customer. If indeed you are, then we have some good news for you. The carrier has just expanded its offer with a new smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Prevail 2. Unlike most off-contract devices, the Galaxy Prevail 2 sports an affordable price tag. You can grab the phone for just $179.99. Being a prepaid carrier, Boost Mobile will not require you to sign any service agreements, obviously.
Samsung Galaxy Prevail 2 for Boost Mobile
The Samsung Galaxy Prevail 2 for Boost Mobile is an updated version of the original Prevail, sporting a bigger screen and better camera. The phone features a 4-inch WVGA display, 5-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing snapper. The device is powered by a 1.4 GHz processor and comes with support for up to 64 GB microSD cards.
Other features of the Galaxy Prevail 2 include Wi-Fi, GPS navigation, stereo Bluetooth 4.0 and a 1,750 mAh removable battery capable of providing up to 8 hours of talk time. The phone runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box but unfortunately does not support 4G LTE connectivity, so you will have to enjoy the 3G speed instead.
The Samsung Galaxy Prevail 2 can be paired with Boost Mobile’s Android Unlimited plan. The plan costs $55 per month and includes unlimited talk, text and 2.5 GB of high-speed data. The plan also allows for shrinking bill payments which lets you reduce your bills by up to $15. The conditions are simple. All you have to do is to make six on-time payments and your bill by $5 per month. For your convenience, those payments do not have to be consecutive. A total of 18 bills paid on time will bring the bill down to $40 per month.
