It is not the first time that we hear about a cheaper and consequently somewhat more modest version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 smartphone. Even before the release of the phablet there were rumors floating around hinting possible launch of its less featured sibling. Despite the device, at that time referred to as Galaxy Note Mini, was never confirmed by Samsung, it looks like that indeed there is something cooking in company’s kitchen since the subject of a slimmed down version of the Galaxy Note 3 was picked up again.
Samsung N7505 may be the Galaxy Note 3 Lite
The mysterious phone has a model number SM-N7505 and this time round goes by the name Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite. According to information supposedly coming from sources inside Samsung, the phone will be announced at Mobile World Congress 2014 and might be available for purchase sometime in February or March. The device is said to arrive in traditional black and white color options. This is how much we can tell you with a certain degree of plausibility. The reset is pure speculation.
Rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite is being tested for 5.49 and 5.7-inch screen sizes. Super AMOLED display may be swapped for LCD to maintain lower costs. The camera could see a downgrade to a 8-megapixel sensor instead of a 13-megapixel unit. Exact release date and pricing remain unknown at this point, however, if the device really exists, we can expect more details to show up in the weeks to come. For now, take the news with a grain of salt.
