Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G – Overview
The Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G, an enhanced version of the Galaxy Admire, features a 3.65-inch screen with 480 x 320 pixels protected by Gorilla Glass, which works out to 158 ppi. The handset is powered by a 1 GHz single-core processor for multitasking and quick navigation, which is 200 MHz more than the original Admire.
You will have at your disposal 1.38 GB of internal memory for all your content. It is not too much by today’s standards, but since the Galaxy Admire 4G packs a microSD card slot compatible with up to 32 GB cards, you will be able to expand the storage capacity that fit your needs.
The phone is equipped with two cameras: a 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, auto focus, 4x zoom and video capture capability on the back and a VGA front camera. The main camera offers various shooting options for example white balance (auto, incandescent, daylight, fluorescent, or cloudy), focus mode (auto, infinity, macro), scene mode (portrait, landscape, beach/snow, sunset, night or fireworks) and color effects (mono, sepia, negative, aqua, or sketch).
The handset runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which is a quite an old version of the operating system, comparing to 4.1 Jelly Bean, but even though it still offers the taste of Android experience, access to Google Play and full integration with Google apps, including Gmail, Google Talk, Google Maps, and Google Search.
One thing that MetroPCS’s subscribers will certainly like is 4G LTE connectivity that gives consumers the ability to quickly navigate the Web, stream multimedia and stay connected with friends and family. It also comes with MetroPCS’ joyn service, which provides an intuitive way to unify mobile-to-mobile communications and enriched services like integrated instant messaging or chat, and video calling, and simplified content sharing.
The Galaxy Admire 4G also packs a music player compatible with WAV, WMA (v9/10), MP3, AAC, HE-AACv1, HE-AACv2, AMR-NB, and AMR-WB formats, a video player compatible with H.263, H.264, MPEG4, 3GP, and 3G2 (v9) formats, and a gallery app supporting JPEG, PNG, GIF, A-GIF, WBMP, and BMP formats.
