Samsung launches a new version of the Galaxy Ace smartphone called the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style LTE or Galaxy Ace 4 if you prefer
Samsung’s Galaxy brand is very capacious and includes lineups that range from the most premium devices to low-end. The latter is represented by the Galaxy Ace family which has just gained a new member. Samsung has launched a new version of the Galaxy Ace smartphone called the Samsung Galaxy Ace Style LTE or Galaxy Ace 4, if you prefer.
Samsung Galaxy Ace Style LTE Smartphone
It seems that Samsung is not quite sure what to call the new phone and ends up using both names on its product page. Frankly speaking, it’s a bit confusing, especially since a certain Galaxy Ace 4 has been already on sale for a few weeks.
Not only do both these handsets have different specifications, but they also differ in design. In fact, the Ace Style LTE has the same wide accent line on the back as the Ace Style released in May which makes us think that these two are closely related. That’s why we suspect that it might be just a simple mix up on Samsung’s part so to avoid further confusion we will refer to the new addition to the Galaxy Ace lineup as the Ace Style LTE.
Whatever its correct name may be, the phone is clearly an entry-level device. It does, however, feature a Super AMOLED display which is a first for such low-end offering. The screen measures 4.3 inched diagonally and has WVGA (800×480) resolution. Under the hood, the Style LTE has quad-core 1.2 GHz processor paired with 1GB of RAM, 4GB of expandable storage, and a 1,900 mAh battery. On the back there is a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p video capture, while on the front sits a 1.3-megapixel selfie shooter. The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat and the handset is available in white and grey color versions.
The Ace Style LTE quietly appeared on Samsung’s German website so it seems to be destined to European market. The smartphone is priced at €199 which is about $253 – not exactly the most affordable price for a device of such class. We are not sure if Samsung is planning global release; however, if it ever happens we will definitely let you know.
