Some time ago the Samsung Galaxy A5 was spotted on the FCC’s website, and just right now we got new renders allegedly presenting the phone. Everything suggests that the new Galaxy A series will sport the fusion design of metal and plastic accompanied by high-to-low end hardware parameters. The Galaxy A5 is claimed to be Samsung’s alternative offer to the plastic-only Galaxy S5 flagship smartphone. Feel curious about further details? Let’s try to analyze the latest leak.
Samsung Galaxy A5 to feature a genuine aluminum sides of the body.
The new, very sterile, renders show the yet unannounced handset in its whole beauty. Looking at them we can clearly notice the unibody design similar to this used in the Samsung Galaxy A5 that is the Samsung high-end offering, which features a genuine aluminum sides of the body, not the chrome looking plastic. The leaked images look pretty much like the photos usually published during the device official announcement. So, we can expect the Galaxy A5’s to debut pretty soon.
Although the Galaxy A5 is very close to the Galaxy Alpha, when it comes to the phone’s design language, the material used in the A5 is still something of a mystery. There are some reports suggesting that the phone may be made of aluminum and some kind of a unique material that isn’t a real metal but strongly resembles it. The one thing is sure the Galaxy A5 breaks up with the style of the Samsung Galaxy S5 providing squarer edges.
Moving on to the list of specs, the Samsung Galaxy A5 is reported to sport a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED display featuring the 720p resolution. There is also the Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz under the hood, which is said to be the new 64-bit version of the well-known Snapdragon 400. There will be also 2GB RAM and 16GB of microSD expandable built-in storage. Speaking of the phone’s optics, the phone is rumored to be equipped with a 13-megapixel main camera. Additionally the new A5 supports 4G LTE connectivity and is powered by a 2,300 mAh battery.
The Galaxy A5 is said to be launched along with its smaller brother, the Galaxy A3, the latter device is smaller not only in terms of size but also in the terms of its hardware. For instance, it’s reported to house 4.5-inch 960x540p screen, 1GB RAM and only 8GB of internal storage. It will also have an 8-megapixel rear shooter accompanied by 5-megapixel front-facing one. But still, it will be equipped with the same Snapdragon 410 processor.
The running Android 4.4.4 Kitkat, the Galaxy A5 is estimated to cost something round $400. Sadly, it’s official date of premiere and availability are still unknown.
