It’s all about fashion for Samsung when it comes to the new smartwatch Gear S Diesel Black Gold collection. Lately Samsung is being very design-conscious and the company is committed to developing collaborations with brands that inspire fashion and empower people to express their personal style as said by Younghee Lee, the executive VP of the Mobile’s Global marketing & Mobile Division at Samsung. Diesel Black Gold’s creative team has used the Samsung Gear S as a foundation to create a collection of unique pieces in different details, sizes and colors. This creative team has used the curvy Gear S as a canvas to create fashion pieces with a sharp leather and metal attitude, inspired by “highly stylized New Wave rock stars and tough rockabilly heroines”.
Samsung and Diesel will also work together to make a 360 video of the Diesel Black Gold runway show which can be played on the newly announced Samsung VR.
The smart watches have to be very fashionable to gain interest of traditional time piece lovers. Hence Samsung has given the Swarovski treatment to its new Smartwatch, the Gear S. The unique feature of the collection is that the smartwatch just gets a bit more blinged out with the help of specially cut crystals. The strap has a metal mesh design which is embellished with Swarovski cut stones and placed on a more flowing or pliable material to make them the ultimate fashion statement.
Point to be noted is that the Gear S smartwatch is quite notable even without its luxurious strap. With this new Gear S Strap, socialites and fashionistas who wouldn’t want to be caught dead wearing a geeky looking piece of technology which is probably outdated, now have a new option available to them.
The exact same “Crystal Fine Mesh” which just debuted in July this year and produced by Swarovski which is mainly used by the fashion industry’s “top brands”, is used for the blinged out version of the smartwatch, as stated by Samsung. Samsung has also hinted that the next upcoming Galaxy Note 4 will also get a Swarovski back cover soon. The Gear S has 3G connection which allows users to take and make calls directly on the smartwatch, which makes the need of a Smartphone almost replaceable and it, runs on Tizen OS.
The Gear S has not only got the latest of technology in the telecom industry but also got the latest of design from the fashion industry. Samsung and Swarovski have an on-going relationship, aptly called “Swarovski for Samsung”, that has seen the launch of several luxurious accessories for a number of the manufacturer’s devices.
The cost of the Swarovski embellished Gear S is still a question mark but it may be available in Samsung’s flagship store and online stores sometime next month.
