After a long break AT&T is once again bringing a Windows Phone 8 device from Samsung to its portfolio. The new addition is called Samsung ATIV S Neo and is available today from the carrier’s website and retail stores. The phone costs $99.99 with a new two-year contract or $349.99 if all you can muster is a one-year relationship. The ATIV S Neo is also available on AT&T Next for $21 per month. You want to walk away with the phone with no further obligations, AT&T will give you that opportunity in exchange for $419.99.
Samsung ATIV S Neo for AT&T
The Samsung ATIV S Neo for AT&T is an upgraded version of last year’s ATIV S. The phone is compact enough for one-handed use yet big enough to comfortably type, read and fully enjoy Windows Phone 8 features such as Live Tile and People Hub. Thanks to slim bezels, the handset’s 5.33 x 2.72 x 0.36 body can accommodate a large 4.77-inch 1280 x 720 display with no harm to its subtle design. The ATIV S Neo ships with a 1.4 GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8930AA processor, 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory expandable up to 64 GB via microSD slot.
The phone supports AT&T 4G LTE network, with other connectivity features including HSPA+, Bluetooth 3.0, NFC and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with hotspot capability. The device also packs an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 4x zoom and 1080p video capture, as well as a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera for video chatting. As a source of power the ATIV S Neo has a 2,000 mAh battery good for up to 17 hours of talk time and up to 18 days of standby time.
