First mentions about the Pantech Perception arrival to Verizon appeared back in January this year when a leaked press photo started circulating around the web. Technical details were scarce at that time, though. Not much changed since January, except that now we have a potential launch date. According to @evleaks, the Pantech Perception will be released on Verizon network in a few days, on April 25. The date is less than a week away so we can expect an official announcement either from the manufacturer or the carrier to be released any time soon.
Verizon Pantech Perception 4G LTE Smartphone
Hopefully, when it happens at least some of the blanks will be filled because at this point we know very little about the phone. So what do we know exactly? First, that the Pantech Perception is rumored to feature a 4.8-inch display with a 1280 x 720 resolution. The handset is also believed to be powered by a dual-core 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 processor. Probably, it will also offer 1 GB of RAM. That much was revealed by first leaks.
Later, the FCC filing was discovered and it added a few more details. The filing suggests that the Pantech Perception may sport an 8-megapixel rear camera and support for Verizon 4G LTE network. The last part is kind of obvious, since it would be rather unusual for a Verizon smartphone not to be compatible with the carrier’s LTE network. Judging by the specs it is safe to say that the handset will be a decent but still mid-range offering.
