For a long time iPhones have been handsets of choice for the most demanding customers. In fact, as far as smartphones are concerned, the name “iPhone” may be used as a synonym of “quality”. If you like stylish devices, iPhone is the definition of classy. The same can’t be said about phones running other platforms, though. While there are many great Android and Windows Phone devices, some actually look and feel like cheap toys. If quality and design does not convince you to choose iPhone over Android Smartphone or Windows Phone, here are five more reasons to do so.
It is true that some Android and Windows phones are much more affordable that iPhones; however, lower price has its price too. In order to keep costs in check, manufacturers use fragile materials which can be easily damaged. As a result, your phone may not last as long as you would want it to. With iOS phones you can be sure that they will serve you for a long time. Their metal bodies are much more durable and can withstand daily hardships with no problem.
When you decide that you want an iOS phone, you won’t have much choice in terms of smartphone brands. With iOS available only on iPhones, at first you may feel that your options are very limited. This, however, can be a good thing, since you won’t be distracted by the multitude of brands and models and you will be able to focus on more important things.
Moreover, when you buy an iPhone, you know what to expect, since the experience is very similar across all Apple devices. A phone running other platform, on the other hand, are a whole different story. Take Android for example. There are literally dozens of Android phones on the market and every one of them can offer a totally different experience than others. When you switch to a different manufacturer, you may be in for a huge surprise, and in the world of smartphones surprises are not always welcome.
Unity of the System
Apple doesn’t allow any third-party input into iOS, meaning that all apps, services and programs are developed only by Apple. This guarantees that all elements of the system are compatible and complement each other. As a result, iOS is more stable and more protected from viruses and malware than in the case of Android which is open for third-party apps.
Easy to use
From the very first iPhone that hit the market, Apple focused on keeping things simple and convenient. With its intuitive interface, iOS is arguably the easiest to use of all platforms that have ever been developed. Apple is determined to keep the experience clean and straightforward, unlike other manufactures who packs their phones full with a bunch of cool features half of which you will probably never use.
Apple keeps regular upgrade cycles with major updates released usually once a year. iOS upgrades are available to users for free without unnecessary delays. Upgrading Android phones is not that easy and takes weeks or even months. Some models will never be upgraded simply because hardware couldn’t take it. With Windows Phone the situation is even more complicated. Users of Windows Phone handsets with an operating system older than Windows Phone 8 will never be updated beyond Windows Phone 7.8.
