With its 5-inch Super AMOLED screen the Samsung Galaxy S4 may be big. For some users it might to be even too big. If you are one of those folks who do not feel comfortable with huge phones in your pockets, we may have some good news for you. A miniaturized version of Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone is on its way. The handset is believed to be ready for announcement by the end of May, but it may not hit the stores until June or even July. But before that happens, we have a fresh set pf leaked photos for you to take a closer look.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini vs. Galaxy S4
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini was spotted posing for camera from every possible angle. From the images you can clearly seen that it looks just like its bigger brother. The devices are not entirely identical in terms of specs and features, though. Inside is where you will find most of the differences. Obviously, since the Mini’s body is smaller, screen size is also reduced to 4.3 inches diagonally. Unfortunately it means some sacrifices. While the Samsung Galaxy S4 offers pixel density of a stunning 441 ppi, pixel density on the mini model is just 256 ppi.
Also the processor of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is significantly less powerful. Under the hood of the mini there will be a dual-core 1.6 GHz chip ticking. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy S4 ships with a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 or octa-core Samsung Exynos 5 processor, if we take the international version. The leaked photos were not accompanied by any information regarding pricing, availability on market but recent rumors suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will be announced together with the rugged Samsung Galaxy S4 Active and the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.
