The Samsung Galaxy S4 and LG Optimus G Pro may have soon a worthy competitor. Pantech, a South Korea-based mobile manufacturer, is expected to unveil its latest flagship phone – the Pantech Vega Iron, just in three days, April 18. Nothing has been made official about the handset so far but if the rumored specs turn out to be true, it is going to be one of the most promising devices on market.
Pantech Vega Iron with bezel-less design…
In terms of the looks, the Pantech Vega Iron with its oblong shape resembles Nokia phones and will be available in black and white color options. The handset measures 5.37 x 2.67 x 0.35 inch (136.3 x 67.7 x 8.8 mm) and thanks to a virtually bezel-less design can accommodate a 5-inch display with full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. Pantech also used a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and 2 GB of RAM to make sure that the Vega Iron is fast and efficient.
The phone boasts a 13-megapixel camera on the back and a 2,150 mAh battery to deliver the power. Other features include 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. The Vega Iron is also believed to run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. Pantech did not confirm any of the specs and features, so they are still unofficial. However, since the rumors delivered by different sources seem to corroborate each other, we are inclined to believe that they are close to the truth. There is no word on possible pricing and international availability, though.
