It is not a secret that smartphone makers constantly are competing for new customers. In South Korea the competition is pretty tough because of two big world class players: Samsung and LG. Right behind them is placed Pantech, which although less known in the US, can be considered a serious rival to leading phone makers in its home market. The high-end Pantech Vega Iron released last year was a worthy competitor of the Samsung Galaxy S4. It looks like this year the company is going to repeat the same move.
Pantech Vega Iron 2 vs. Galaxy S5
According to the latest rumors, Pantech is working on Vega Iron 2 – a successor to last year’s model. The phone is said to hit the market in April which is around the same that the Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to debut. Word on the street is it that the Pantech Vega Iron 2 will come clad in metal suit and will feature fingerprint scanner.
The original Vega Iron sports a 5-inch display with 720p resolution and extremely thin bezels. We don’t expect anything less from the upcoming Vega Iron 2. Speaking of the display, the Galaxy S5 will allegedly have a Quad HD screen. Since Pantech is apparently competing with Samsung, chances are that the Vega Iron 2 will come with a 1600 x 2560 resolution too.
Time will show whether these speculations will see the day light or not. For now, take the news with a grain of salt and keep your eyes open for more details ‘cause when the Pantech Vega Iron 2 is unveiled, we will be there to tell you all about it.
