iPad Air and iPad Mini 2 with 4G LTE cellular connectivity coming to AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile in November
Professional as always, Apple sticks to its yearly upgrade schedule and yesterday announced the iPad Air and iPad Mini 2. Both slates will be carried by all four major US carries, that is AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. A nice surprise awaits customers opting for the Magenta network. The carrier will be offering 200 MB of free data per month with both new iPads. Unless you are one of those users who download a lot of content from the web, the free data will allow you to stay connected on the go.
iPad Mini 2 and iPad Air 4G LTE Availability
The iPad Air will arrive at the stores on November 1st. The tablet will be available in four memory options, with 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB of storage, with prices varying accordingly. The 16 GB model with 4G LTE cellular connectivity is priced at $629, while the 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants cost $729, $829 and $929. Wi-Fi-only models are naturally cheaper and will be selling for $499, $599, $699 and $799, respectively.
The iPad Mini 2 with Retina display will be available for purchase sometime next month, however, exact date has not been specified yet. Just like the full-size iPad, the Mini model offers 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB of internal memory and comes with Wi-Fi-only or Wi-Fi with LTE cellular connectivity. Wi-Fi models will sell for $399, $499, $599 and $699, depending on storage. If you prefer the comfort of network connectivity, the slate will cost $529, $629, $729 and $829 for the offers 16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB model, respectively.
