Huge-screen devices are the latest hit among smartphone users. Almost every phone maker has at least one of these beasts in their offer and the boundary between a smartphone and a tablet is being constantly redefined. Such handsets usually offer attractive design and come with top-notch specs, hence their popularity. There is also a dark side to this craze. Being enormous as they are, phablets are not easy to operate especially with one hand. Probably for this reason, more and more manufacturers are beginning to offer scaled-down versions of their largest devices.
Oppo Find 5 Mini
Oppo is no different. The 5-inch Oppo Find 5 has been available to customers in Europe since December 2012. However, we got our hands on a set of images that suggest that the company might be working on a mini version of the phone. Judging from the images, the Oppo Find 5 Mini will be considerably with a screen measuring 3.7 inches diagonally. As for the resolution, the phone is believed to pack a 720p HD display, so the outcome should be an amazing pixel density close to 400 ppi.
Word on the street is that the Oppo Find 5 Mini may come with the same quad-core chip as its bigger brother. Other sources, however, claim that the handset will sport significantly less powerful 1.2 GHz Mediatek processor, possibly to keep pricing at wallet-friendly level. Other rumored features include 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of onboard storage and a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera. Assuming that the leaked photos are real, the Oppo Find 5 Mini will be available in a multitude of colors including red, green, blue and yellow.
The phone is expected to cost between €199 and €249, which is $264 and $331.
