The Vivo Xplay 3S has been unveiled becoming the first smartphone to come with a 2k display. It won’t be the only one for a long time, though. Another Chinese company, Oppo, is getting ready to release a competitor. The upcoming Oppo Find 7, just like the Vivo Xplay 3S, will feature a screen with 2,560 x 1,440 resolution. And no, it is neither a rumor nor speculation. The info was confirmed by Oppo itself, so it is as official as it gets.
Oppo Find 7 – Rumors and speculations
This and the fact that the Find 7 will be Oppo’s first device with 4G LTE connectivity is about as much as we know about the handset at the moment. Other parameters still remain unknown, at least officially. The phone was rumored to have a 5.7-inch or even 7-inch screen, neither of which will materialize according to Carl Pei, Oppo’s former International Markets Manager. Carl Pei’s claim puts us in the dark about the screen size and leaves the question about pixel density unanswered.
The Oppon Find 7 is said to be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and might come with 3 GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel camera. The phone is also expected to packs a hefty 4,000 mAh battery, and it better will, since that 2k display will sure need a lot of power.
Other specs are a mystery at this point. However, the closer the announcement day, the more rumors, speculations and maybe even leaks will pop up. We will let you know as soon as we find out anything new. Stay tuned.
