After numerous rumors and endless leaks, Apple finally unveiled its latest device last week – the iPad Mini. As it always happens with Apple products, the tablet proved to be extremely popular. Within a day and a half of pre-orders being open, the 16GB iPad Mini was sold out and now the Apple website is showing shipping delays on all models.
The new tablet went on sale on Friday November 2nd and the stocks keeps drying up so it is not easy to get your hands on the device. That’s why Apple created a very interesting purchasing system for those who are in no mood to fight with other customers crazy to get the iPad Mini or wait two weeks for it to be shipped. The procedure is very simple. Each evening after 10 pm Apple is allowing a limited number of reservations. Note that the number of units available each evening for next day delivery varies so check the website to make sure you still have a chance to get your own. The Apple iPad Mini is a smaller, lighter, and cheaper version of the Apple iPad 2. The iPad Mini comes in two colors (black and white) and three memory versions (16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB). It features a 7.9-inch display with a 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, which is exactly like the iPad 2, so the image is clear and sharp.
