ByinAnnouncements | July 7, 2014

Nokia Lumia 930 ColorsOfficial since the beginning of April and available for pre-order in Europe, the Nokia Lumia 930 ‘Icon’  is finally ready to show up in stores. The international launch date has been confirmed for July 17th and on that day the phone will arrive in stores in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Recommended Retail Price is set at €370 / £290 which corresponds to $600 in the US. If you are in the UK, you will be able to grab the handset for free as long as you sign a new contract and are willing to pay at least $33 per month.

Nokia Lumia 930 ‘Icon’ Windows Phone 8.1

Lumia 930The Nokia Lumia 930 is the most premium phone that made it to the market after Microsoft purchased Nokia. Coming with exactly the same set of specs, the phone appears to be an international counterpart of Verizon Wireless’ Nokia Lumia Icon. The Lumia 930 is a 5-inch offering equipped with a 1080p ClearBlack AMOLED display with Super Sensitive Touch technology and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Thanks to wide viewing angles of almost 180 degrees you will be able to use the handset comfortably in every condition, even in direct sunlight.

Ticking inside the phone’s aluminum body is a Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz assisted by 2 GB of RAM. The amount of built-in memory is pretty generous offering 32 GB for all the content; however, there is no microSD slot for storage expansion. One of Lumia 930’s main selling points is its 20-megapixel PureView camera with ZEISS lens and dual LED flash. The camera packs a large, 1/2.5″ image sensor, f/2.4 aperture, 2x high-resolution zoom, optical image stabilization and auto-focus with 2-stage shutter key.

Other features include high-quality audio in Dolby Surround Sound, 1.2-megapixel front shooter, a 2,420 mAh battery, wireless charging and Windows Phone 8.1 out of the box. Like other members of the Lumia family, the Lumia 930 will be available in many colors including bright orange, bright green, black and white.

Within the next few weeks the Nokia Lumia 930 will begin its worldwide rollout, but from what we hear, most likely it won’t arrive at the US shore, at least in the near future. If you are interested in the 5-inch Nokia handset you will have to make do with the Nokia Icon which has been available from Verizon Wireless since February.
