Two weeks ago (October 22nd) Nokia had its big event in Abu Dhabi during which a couple of phablets, a tablet and entry-level phones were announced. Something was missing, though. The Finnish company did not say a word about the rumored Lumia 929. Some of you may have started wondering if the phone actually exists. Following today’s leak we can tell you with confidence that it does. The handset showed up on the web today with a set of specs and bunch of photos to complete the picture. According to the rumors, the Lumia 929 will be headed exclusively to Verizon sometime between Thanksgiving and the beginning of the next year.

Looking at the photos it is quite clear that the Lumia 929 is an upgraded version of the Lumia 928. Both phones look almost identical with the exception of a metal band wrapped around the edges and a different placement of a headphone jack and a microUSB port on the Lumia 929.
The phone’s AMOLED screen measures 5 inches diagonally and offers 1080 x 1920 resolution. The handset runs the most up-to-date version of Windows Phone platform along with Lumia Black firmware.
The Lumia 929 will hide some serious power inside its body thanks to a quad-core 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 2 GB of RAM. With 32 GB for your content, storage capacity is also nothing to complain about. However, there is no slot for memory expansion.
The 20-megapixel PureView camera uses oversampling technology and is equipped with dual LED flash. There is also a front-facing camera. Other features include NFC, Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, Qi wireless charging, FM Radio and at least three HAAC microphones.
