Nokia Lumia 525 Windows Phone 8 spotted in press images, may arrive this fall as Lumia 520 successor
A new Nokia Lumia phone is getting ready to join the ranks of mid-ranger Windows Phone 8 devices. The Nokia Lumia 525, also known as Glee, has recently paid a visit to TENAA, which is a Chinese counterpart of the FCC here in the US. The certification, accompanied by a photo of the phone, revealed key specs confirming most of previous rumors. A day later, the Lumia 525 was spotted again, this time in press renders, providing us with a much more detailed picture of the device.
Nokia Lumia 525, successor of the Lumia 520
As expected, the Lumia 525 basically will be an upgraded version of the Lumia 520. Both phones run Windows 8 OS, share similar design and most of the specs. According to the leaked specs sheet, the Nokia Lumia 525 sports a 4-inch IPS LCD display with a 800 x 480 resolution and is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor.
As you may remember, the Nokia Lumia 520 runs on Snapdragon S4 Plus chip. The Lumia 525 apparently comes with 1 GB of RAM, which is a healthy improvement over Lumia 520’s 512 MB of RAM.
The phone also packs a 5-megapixel rear camera, 8 GB of internal memory expandable via microSD card slot and a 1,430 mAh battery.
It looks like the Lumia 525 will be available in white, yellow and orange color options which match perfectly the beautiful fall scenery outside the window. With renders showing up on the web, it seems that the phone may be announced in no time.
