The Nokia Lumia 1520 is still a few days away from being released on AT&T and the carrier has already cut the price by half. Yes, there is no mistake here. Both AT&T and Microsoft Store started accepting pre-orders for the Lumia 1520 last week. The price was set at $199.99, which is more or less what we expected for a phone that is perfectly on par with high-end Android devices. A little over a week went by and AT&T is ready to part with the phone $100 cheaper, just $99.99. Of course, a new two-year contract is still required.
Nokia Lumia 1520 Windows Phablet
If you want to get your hands on Nokia’s first phablet, we suggest you pay a visit to AT&T online store rather sooner than later. Fine print on the product page warns that it is a limited-time offer. However, no exact date is mentioned, so there is no telling when the deal expires. Also, remember that the discounted price applies only to online purchase. According to info on the product page, AT&T will start shipping the pre-ordered phones on November 19th. Off-contract price remains unchanged, that is $584.99.
The Lumia 1520 is the biggest Windows Phone device made by the Finnish manufacturer. The phone packs a huge 6-inch HD 1080p display and a massive 20-megapixel PureView camera with ZEISS optics, dual LED flash and optical image stabilization. Other key features include a quad-core 2.2 GHz processor, 2 GB or RAM, 16 GB of expandable storage and 3,400 mAh battery.
The Nokia Lumia 1520 ships with the GDR3 update out of the box. The device is available in matte black, matte yellow, matte white, and glossy red.
