It is the era of smartphones, there is no doubt about that. Feature phones are a dying breed nowadays. The very few that are left, usually lack a lot in the design department, not to mention poor hardware. If you are looking for a feature phone, but find it hard to appreciate the devices currently available on the market, here comes Nokia to the rescue with its 515. The phone will go on sale later on this month for 115 EUR or around $150, first in Russia, Germany, Switzerland and Poland, before hitting other markets.
Compact and lightweight Nokia 515
The candybar Nokia 515 is the latest addition to the Series 40 lineup. The phone presents an attractive design and is made with premium materials. The body is built with anodized, sandblasted aluminum and the keypad is covered with a new type of polycarbonate resin. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Measuring just 114 x 48 x 11 mm and weighing in at 101.1 g, the phone is lightweight and compact.
The Nokia 515 sports a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD display and offers a fast, 3.5G HSDPA internet connection. The phone is equipped with a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash, voice-guided self-portrait feature and additional options including Sequential shot and Panorama shot. The device comes with 256 MB of internal memory, expandable up to 32 GB via microSD slot. According to Nokia, the handset’s battery will deliver up to 10.4 hours of talk time and up to 38 days standby time. The Nokia 515 will be available in single and dual-SIM version.
