ByinLeaks & Rumors | March 16, 2014

VerizonWith spring knocking on the door, Verizon Wireless is preparing to freshen up its Windows and Android portfolio. According to recently leaked press images, two new phones are on the way to Big Red network. The phones in question are the Samsung ATIV SE Windows Phone and the LG Lucid 3 Android Smartphone. By the looks of it, both should be ready for launch soon, with possible release occurring some time in the coming weeks.

New Phones: Samsung ATIV SE & LG Lucid 3

Samsung ATIV SE 2For a while now the Samsung ATIV SE, previously known as Samsung Huron, has been rumored to be headed to Verizon. @evleaks broke the news earlier this month and it was also confirmed by information on benchmark database. Now we have been treated to the first press image of the ATIV SE giving as a detailed look at the front as well as the back of the device. The render yet again confirms a design reminiscent of the Galaxy S4.

The Samsung ATIV SE is expected to arrive with Windows Phone 8.1 on board which is the latest version of Microsoft’s platform scheduled to be announced in the first days of April. Beyond that, not much is known about the phone. Rumors suggest a 1080p display, possibly measuring 5 inches, and a 13-megapixel camera to be present on the handset. Also, there has been a mention of a quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 processor and at least 2 GB of RAM, none of which, however, has been confirmed so far.

LG Lucid 3The Samsung ATIV SE won’t be the only device to land on Verizon in the near future. According to a press image tweeted by @evleaks, the second addition to the carrier’s roster will be the LG Lucid 3. The news is not surprising at all. In two weeks it will be exactly one year since Verizon has released the Lucid 2 so it’s about time a successor was launched.

The leaked image shows a refreshed design with rounded corners, gently curved back and physical home button. The rear camera and LED flash apparently were moved a little closer to the top edge. As you would expect of a successor, the Lucid 3 is bound to come with some improvements over the last year’s model, however, at this point we can’t really tell you what those could be since no details, official or otherwise, are available.

Stay tuned and we will let you know as soon as we find out anything new.
