New Google Nexus 7Channel that moment when you were a child and your birthday was coming up in a few days or weeks, your guardian sat you down, both of you guys smiling from ear to ear, you knowing that good news was to come, and then they surprise you with a birthday gift early! Best Buy decided to go on and put the highly anticipated new Nexus 7 up for pre-order. To follow that up in the best way possible, Sundar Pichai, chief of Android/Chrome hosted a special Nexus 7 announcement event that revealed impressive, and more importantly accurate to speculations, information on the next generation Google Nexus 7.

New Google Nexus 7 Android 4.3 Tablet

New Nexus 7 TabletsThe Nexus 7 has hit Best Buy’s inventory a little early giving customers the wonderful option to pre-order this Android 4.3 Jelly Bean sporting device. The latest version of the Nexus 7 is coming thinner, lighter, and with a higher resolution screen on July 30th in either 16GB or 32GB versions. It will hit a variety of popular stores on July 30th that include: GameStop, Staples, Amazon, and Best Buy. T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon will have the LTE variants available as well. The Nexus 7 is too good to be true, and can’t only be a U.S. native; furthermore, launching in UK, Germany, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Spain, Australia, and France are to happen in coming weeks.

The new Google Nexus 7 is still 7 inches, yet, it is indeed thinner, thinning down from 0.41 inch (10.45mm) to 0.3 inch (8.65mm). In addition the bezels new specifications are slimmer at 0.10 (2.75mm). It is delightfully lighter at 11.2 ounces (317.5g), as if it needed to get any lighter than the previous generation that weighted in at 12 ounces (340g), yet that is awesome. Especially when you consider the lighter weight paired with higher resolution which I imagine will make you feel like you are holding a palm sized HD projector screen. Or close enough to it, it can display a 30% range of colors, and is 80% faster, providing 4 times the graphics performance with a higher resolution at 1920 x 1200 panel 323 ppi, significantly better than the Nexus 10 tablet that was only at 1280 x 800 panel resolution.

Nexus 7 Android 4.3The processor has been upgraded to a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 8064processor going hand and hand with Adreno 320 graphics and 2GB of RAM. A few other features include an exclusive rear-facing 5-megapixel camera, new dual stereo speakers, and virtual surround sound. It also features crafty wireless charging support, optional 4G LTE, HDMI output, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, OpenGL ES 3.0, Dial pad Autocomplete, and increased battery life. Which should give 9 hours of HD video playback as well as 10 hours of web browsing.

The Nexus 7 has one additional exclusive feature called Restricted Profiles. Which allows special app accessibility, and apps can turn off features in-app if running I a restricted profile. This bundle of joy is going priced at $229 for the 16GB and $270 for the 32GB. The Nexus 7 is here and it came prepared to satisfy all.
