If the latest speculations and rumors are to be believed, and we strongly emphasize the word “rumors”, Apple may surprise us greatly with its next smartphone. The new handset, most likely called iPhone 5S, which is believed to be launched in May or June, might offer more choices for customers than the its predecessors. It is expected that the new iPhone 5S will come including variety of colors and multiple screen sizes. But why Apple would do that? Will those choices help company to flourish mobile market?
Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White claims that yes, they would. Right now, Apple offers only a 4-inch screen on the iPhone 5 and a 3.5-inch screen on the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. Offering multiple screen sizes for a single model would be quite innovative, find more customers searching for bigger or smaller handsets, and consequently, it would help expand the market.
As for color options, the analyst suggests that the new Apple iPhone 5S may be available in pink, yellow, blue, white and silver, and black and slate, which would look greatly next to colorful Windows 8 handsets presented by Nokia and HTC.
This rumor sounds too far-fetched to be believed just yet, but if by any chance it turned out to be true, it would give iOS users a similar experience to buyers of Android flavored models who can choose from devices with different screen sizes (maybe even iPhone phablet), colors, features and price points.
