New iPads, MacBook Air, OS X Yosemite and Apple TV to be officially announced during Apple’s media event scheduled on October 21st
After the successful launch of it’s much awaited device iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus on September this year, seems Apple is not yet done for the year and is set to launch yet another media event on second half of October. Rumor has it that the company is planning to unveil some of its major new products during the event including new iPads. Well in the past years Apple has been known for having a tradition of using the fall quarter as it’s big product launch time. Usually during this time the company unveils many new devices and gadgets, like the iPad Air and Retina iPad Mini last year, before they went on sale to consumers in early November.
Apple’s media event – What to expect.
So for this year, people are highly anticipating the release of a newer and a better version of iPad Air and iPad Mini featuring Touch ID fingerprint sensor that debuted with the iPhone 5. The new models more likely will boast the same A8 processor, a better camera, and a new gold color option with many other specs found in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
According to AppleInsider, Apple is also likely to take time to discuss about it new operating system X Yosemite in greater detail and announce an official release date for the new operating system during the event. The OS X Yosemite was launched in June this year and which as of now is only available in beta version and IOS 8 update. Yosemite will tie closely into Apple’s iOS 8 mobile operating system update for iPhone and iPad.
Another rumor suggests that Apple might also make an announcement regarding the MacBook Air notebooks which comes with Retina displays. Retina displays might come to Apple’s iMac lineup, but there has been even less concrete evidence for a 2014 debut for a high-resolution all-in-one Mac desktop. A Retina display would be Apple’s premium Thunderbolt Display, something fans have hoped for since the new cylindrical Mac Pro debuted in late 2013, however recent rumors have suggested that the launch of a new MacBook Air with Retina display may be pushed back to 2015.
The new model for MacBook Air is expected to have 12 inches long screen size and is rumored to feature a a fan-less design that would help to minimize noise while working at night hours, click-less touch pad, and less inputs and outputs ports unlike its previous versions of MacBook.
Lastly the Apple Company is planning to update Apple TV and there are high chances that Apple might add a set-top box like other TV sets. We can guess that Apple is gearing up for an anticipated October event, there’s a lot believed to be in the company’s pipeline that could be introduced for a fall launch.
Other than the next gen iPad Air, iPad Mini and the launch of OS X Yosemite, very little is certain about the remainder of Apple’s 2014 but Apple reportedly has a bunch of new products on tap that we have yet to hear about.
