Here comes a fresh bunch of rumors about the Motorola X. Remember our post from December about the X Phone and X Tablet project? Back then is was just pure speculation and guesses, since all we had was an article from Wall Street Journal suggesting that Motorola and Google might be working on a pure Google device. Now we have some facts and some more rumors which are quite interesting.
First of all, a post a job posting for a Senior Director of Product Management for Motorola appeared on LinkedIn this week, listing the duties of the position, which would oversee the launch of a new device and deal with carrier relationships when bringing it to market.
While the posting does not mention any specifics, it confirms that the company is working on something new and something big. It is no longer available, but similar announcement can be found on Motorola’s own job board, though this one does not give out any details either.
Fortunately, there are other ways to find out details and our sources tell us that the Phone X may come with either 4.8 or 5-inch display, quad-core processor, at least 3,000 mAh battery and improved camera which could mean a Sony Exmor RS sensor.
The phone is rumored to offer 128 GB of internal memory and microSD support for equal storage capacity. This sounds a bit far fetched but who knows, may as well be true. The handset will run stock Android and is said to be available on Verizon network for a price of $299.99 on contract.
