Motorola Droid Turbo smartphone has been fully exposed ahead of the official announcement scheduled on October 28
It’s very uncommon for a smartphone to surprise users, since these days leaks and rumors regarding a particular device are circulating around the internet weeks or even months before the actual phone is made official. On rare occasions a manufacturer manages to keep its new handset under covers until the day of its presentation but it’s not going to be the case with the Motorola Droid Turbo. The smartphone has been fully exposed ahead of the official announcement, which is scheduled on October 28th.
Motorola Droid Turbo – Latest Report
The Motorola Droid Turbo leaked out several times before which, together with the latest reports, gives us a pretty clear picture of what to expect. The Droid Turbo steps onto phablet territory thanks its quite large 5.2-inch display. It’s not just a regular display, mind you, but extra crisp and dense Quad HD (2560 x 1440) display protected with Gorilla Glass 3.
The phone is powered by a quad-core 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor which is accompanied by 3GB of RAM with 64-bit access. Users will get 32GB of internal memory, though at this point we are not sure whether it’s expandable or fixed.
The Droid Turbo is going to be a real treat for photography enthusiasts thanks to its impressive 21-megapixel camera with dual LED flash, 4K video capture Quick Capture gesture, Highlight reel and other cool tricks.
The device also boasts a massive 3,900 mAh battery. The monster of a battery features wireless charging and is capable of receiving 8 hours of charge in 15 minutes when plugged to Turbo Charger. Made of Metallized Glass Fiber, the Droid Turbo has rear cover reinforced with layer of Kevlar and covered in water repellent and scratch resistant coating. On software side, the device comes with near-stock Android and is pre-loaded with a suite of Moto and Zap apps.
In addition to a list of the phone’s specs, we also have a photo which a few days ago showed up on @DroidLanding, the official Droid teaser account. The photo disappeared as quickly as it appeared and we will probably never know whether it was accidental or deliberate. The fact remains, however, that we do know what the Droid Turbo looks like, since the picture is out and making Droid fans drool.
