A few days ago we reported that the Moto G was ready for pre-order in the US from Motorola’s website. Yesterday the phone showed up at Amazon too with pricing similar to what the manufacturer is asking for the phone. The unlocked Moto G with 8 GB of internal memory is priced at $179.99, while the 16 GB model costs $199.99. Shipping is free, so these are the final prices of the phone. The Moto G is scheduled for shipping on December 2th.
Moto G Phone – Great value for a low price…
The Moto G was initially expected to go on sale in January 2014. Luckily for us, Motorola managed to finish preparations for launch much sooner and started offering the Moto G just in time for holiday season. Looking at what the Moto G has to offer for its affordable price, the phone may be a popular gift this holiday season.
Unlike the Moto X, the Moto G is not customizable, however, the phone has a swappable back panel, so if black is not your color, you can dress your Moto G in white, dark blue, light blue, yellow, red, or pink.
Key features of the phone include a 4.5-inch 720p display at 329 ppi, a quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB or 16 GB of storage, 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera and a 2,070 mAh battery.
The Moto G will ship with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box, however in January 2014 the phone will receive an upgrade to the most up-to-date version of the OS, that is 4.4 KitKat.
