The Republic Wireless announced on 17th September that it will soon offer Motorola’s new smartphone which will act as a great home phone replacement and the flip phone killer, the Moto E. With last year’s flagship Moto X and mid-range Moto G, Republic Wireless is going for the Motorola hat trick, the American hybrid MVNO is now planning on presenting the low-end Moto E to its customers. The Moto E is that phone which is great for the kids or other members in the family as their first smartphone because it is a budget friendly price. People can now have power and performance at a cheap price without compromise.
Republic Wireless to sell Moto E next month.
Motorola’s smartphone is equipped with a low-power Snapdragon 200 processor, a 4.3-inch 960×540 LCD screen, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, a single gigabyte of RAM, 4GB of storage plus a MicroSD card slot which is good for expanding the smartphone’s memory up to 32GB in order to have plenty of space for lots of music and pictures that one likes to collect, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and Android 4.4 KitKat . The handset Moto E also has a built-in FM radio to listen to free music on the go. It comes with a screen made out of super-durable Corning Gorilla Glass.
The other specs of Motorola’s Moto E are the “can’t live without them” features which are found in other models of Motorola, like Moto Assist, which amazingly learns ones routine, knows when you’re sleeping or in a meeting, and will silence your phone or let VIP callers through. With Moto Migrate all of one’s contacts can also be moved over from an iPhone or other Android device in mere minutes. The back Moto E also has interchangeable shells in an assortment of beautiful colors to really make it yours just like the previous model Moto G.
Moto E is combined with the most affordable WiFi plus cell coverage available and Republic Wireless’ WiFi calling plans start at $5, $10, and $25 per month, with unlimited talk, text and data over your home internet connection. One can get a separate line for one’s home on a decent little machine with as little as $5 a month and $25 a month gets one a Sprint phone with unlimited minutes and a data over 3G. For those who are travelling frequently can use the unlimited 3G data for $20 more or go all in with the company’s limitless 4G-toting plan for $45 a month. Republic Wireless uses a unique hybrid Wi-Fi service model, using Wi-Fi data for VOIP calls whenever possible.
For the Republic Wireless members, their request for a $99 smartphone without contract has finally materialized with the Moto E, which is a pretty good deal for those penny-wise customers. The carrier’s customized version of the Moto E will go on sale next month, as posted on the official Republic blog and it is $30 cheaper than the retail GSM model. The smartphone is expected to hit Republic Wireless in October.
