Microsoft lowers the price on Surface Pro 2 tablet ahead of Surface Pro 3 launch

Every now and then, however, manufacturers offer promotions that allow users to grab electronics cheaper, and Microsoft is no different in this respect. If you are considering buying the tablet, chances are that you are familiar with its specification. In case you forgot some details, here’s a short reminder of what you can expect. As we already mentioned, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 comes in four variants differing in the amount of built-in memory and RAM. The 64 GB and 128 GB models offer 4 GB of RAM, while the 256 GB and 512 GB versions offer 8 GB of RAM. Other features are identical for all variants.

The device sports a 10.6-inch ClearType display with 1920 x 1080 resolution at 208 ppi, 10-point multi-touch, and 16:9 aspect ratio which is perfect for watching movies, sharing photos, and playing games. The tablet is powered by a fourth generation Intel Core i5 processor clocked at 1.9 GHz and packs two 720p cameras and powerful battery which should deliver up to 15 days of idle life.

For added functionality, the device comes with Surface stylus and built-in kickstand. Other features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, full-size USB 3.0 port, microSD support for storage expansion, stereo speakers, and a variety of sensors.

The Surface Pro 3 sure is a tempting offer, but if you are in need of a new premium Windows tablet now and want it relatively cheap, the Surface Pro 2 may be your best bet at this moment. Anyone interested?
