T-Mobile-owned Metro PCS added today two new phones from Alcatel to its roster. Both, the Alcatel One Touch Fierce and One Touch Evolve, have been available from T-Mobile since September. Now Metro PCS customers can also grab one of the handsets and pair each of them with Metro PCS plans which start at $40 per month and include unlimited talk, text and 500 MB of high speed data. Speaking of the pricing, the Alcatel One Touch Fierce is selling for $99, while the One Touch Evolve costs just $59. Neither of the phones requires contracts.
One Touch Fierce vs. One Touch Evolve
In addition to a big 4.5-inch 540 x 960 display, the Alcatel One Touch Fierce features a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor and 1 GB of RAM. The phone’s main camera comes with a 5-megapixel sensor, 720p video capture and LED flash, while the secondary camera offers VGA quality. You will have 4 GB of internal memory for your content, however, there is also a microSD slot for storage expansion. Other features include HSPA support, stereo Bluetooth, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a 1,800 mAh battery capable of delivering up to 8 hours of talk time or up to 300 hours of standby time.
The Alcatel One Touch Evolve, on the other hand, is a 4-inch offering bringing you WVGA 800 x 400 resolution, 1 GHz single-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, and 4 GB of internal storage with microSD card support. Like the Fierce, the One Touch Evolve sorts a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. The handset runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and also offers 7.2 Mbps HSPA, Wi-Fi calling, Bluetooth, GPS navigation, and a 1,400 mAh battery.
