LG X Power finally reached the States
Released two months ago to the South Korean market, the LG X Power powered by a long lasting battery finally hits the US market. The phone is now available through Boost Mobile online and local stores for less than $130 without any long term contracts. Boost Mobile has just added LG X Power to its lineup, while on September 23rd the phone will hit the shelves of Sprint.

The LG X line is known from focusing on one particular feature. The LG X Power strongest point is its generous though non-removable 4,100 mAh battery, promised to deliver 33 hours of talk time. Other specs of this 5.3-inch smartphone include a 720p display and a combination of 8MP primary camera with flash and a 5MP front-facing snapper with selfie-dedicated light.

Powered by a 64-bit Helio P10 MediaTek processor the X Power works on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of box. The octa-core unit is clocked at 1.8GHz, and paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of built in storage. If you consider this not enough, you can easily expand the storage up to 128GB using microSD cards.

Even though the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon is definitely more recognizable chipset brand than the MediaTek, the company wants to gain some popularity here in the States. In order to achieve their goal the Taiwanese manufacturer promise to configure their devices to be compatible with all major US networks, both GSM and CDMA ones. And this is just the beginning of the MediaTek expansion as rumor has it that the company negotiates contracts on introducing their products line with AT&T and Verizon. The modem LTE compatibility is of the biggest significance here. If the company achieve the full compatibility will local LTE bands, they won’t have any problems with introducing their devices to the US market.

Moving back to the LG X Power, starting today the phone is available at Boost Mobile for just $129.99, whereas on September 23rd the phone is scheduled to join Sprint where it will be sold for $150. If you don’t like the idea of paying its full retail price, you can get the device for zero upfront and $9 per month for 24 months.
