Today the Spectrum 2 made the offcial appearance on Verizon’s website, thus confirming the rumors about its imminent launch.

The LG Spectrum 2 for Verizon is quite well equipped for its price. It features a 4.7-inch True HD Advanced High Performance (AH) In-Plane-Switching (IPS) display with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and support for 16 million colors protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, and is powered by a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Krait processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. As far as memory is concerned, there is 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card slot.
The LG Spectrum 2 sports an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1080p HD video capture, and a 1.3 megapixel front shooter perfect for video chatting. If you want to be more creative while taking your photos, the camera offers various shooting options, including Time Catch Shot, Say Cheese Shot, and Shot Modes. There is also an image and video editing app, which allows you to rename, crop, rotate, add effects, adjust contrast and color tones, as well as make and edit your own movies.
The smartphone runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which is probably the biggest disappointment, and as of today there is no word on possible Jelly Bean update. The phone also supports Near Field Communication and comes with LG Tag+ stickers to create special smartphone modes for the office, home or car by tapping the stickers with the Spectrum 2.One of the most interesting features is built-in wireless charging, which will let you add juice without cables.

QuickMemo, which allows you to create memos by taking screen captures and adding drawings or messages.
