The LG Optimus G2 has been leaked not once and not twice, so a pretty clear picture has already started forming in our heads. Now it turns out that there is another device just waiting for an official announcement – the Optimus G Pro. Recent leaks mention specs almost identical for both phones and this might suggest that the G2 and G Pro are one and the same device. It is too early to confirm anything, and while we are waiting for more info to come up let’s go over what we know so far.
LG Optimus G Pro – What do we know so far
The LG Oprimus G Pro will measure 139.0 x 70 x 10 mm, weigh 160 grams and will be available in two color versions: black and white. The handset will feature a 5-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display, 13 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal memory, and a 3,000 mAh battery. Powered by a quad-core 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon Pro APQ8064 processor, the phone will run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and will be equipped with 4G LTE radio for super fast connection.
If the leaked image can be trusted, the LG Optimus G Pro will be launched in Japan by NTT DoCoMo, probably sometime this spring and will includes One-Seg and NOTTV support. There is no word on when exactly the handset will be announced, but World Mobile Congress next month in Barcelona seems like a safe bet.
