Learn more about LG Optimus G

LG Optimus G | Cheap PhonesOne of the best things about the LG Optimus G is the 4.7-inch HD IPS+ display. With a 768 x 1280 pixel resolution and 318 ppi density the images are clear and sharp, the whites are white, the blacks are black and other colors are vivid and lifelike. LG used “Zerogap Touch,” which eliminates the gap between the LCD and front glass, so that the screen is super responsive to touch and has exceptional viewing angles.

The phone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro clocked at 1.5 GHz, which together with 2 GB of RAM guarantees seamless performance whatever your are using the phone for. You can rest assured that apps will load fast and you will be able to perform many tasks at once without stuttering. The Optimus G packs 16 GB of internal memory and comes with a 16 GB memory card, offering you the total of 32 GB. The device also has a microSD slot for optional memory expansion up to 54 GB.

A powerful phone like this requires a lot of power and so the Optimus G sports a 2100 mAh battery, which according to the manufacturer guarantees up to 10 hours talk time and up to 13.5 days standby time. The actual usage time may vary depending on how exactly you are using your phone.

The LG Optimus G is equipped with a 1.3 megapixel front camera for video chatting and an 8 megapixel rear camera / camcorder with 1080p video capture, auto focus, zero shutter lag, Live Shot, and Time Catch Shot so you can always capture the perfect image. The phone also sports a music player supporting MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA, and WAV formats, and a video player compatible with DivX, WMV, MP4, 3GP, and 3G2 formats.

The phone will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box and will possibly be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in the near future. It comes preloaded with a number of apps, for example Chrome, Gmail, Google+, Latitude, Maps, Messenger, Navigation, Play Books, Play Magazines, Play Movies & TV, Play Music, Play Store, Search, Talk, Voice Search, and YouTube. In terms of connectivity you will get Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, 4G LTE and NFC.

You will certainly enjoy other features, such as: Dual Screen Dual Play, which allows you to share content with a larger display while performing other tasks on the device, QSlide, thanks to which you will be able to perform two functions simultaneously on the same screen, and QuickMemo, which lets you create and share personalized memos by taking screen captures and adding handwritten drawings or messages.
