The LG Optimus F7 was announced together with the Optimus F5 back in February at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The latter is already available at Verizon, but things have been quiet about its bigger brother. Until yesterday at least, when guys from @evleaks revealed a fresh bunch of news as well as an official press shot of the phone. Here is what we know.
LG Optimus F7 for Boost Mobile
Judging by Sprint’s apps clearly visible on the display, we can tell that the LG Optimus F7 is going to the Sprint network. @evleaks, however, believes that it will be available at Sprint-owned Boost Mobile pre-paid service provider. Neither pricing not exact launch date are known so far but the phone should hit the stores some time later this year. If the report is true, the Optimus F7 will be Boost Mobile’s third phone supporting LTE network after the HTC One VS and ZTE Force.
The LG Optimus F7 is a mid-ranger with rather impressive specs. It features a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display with 720p resolution, an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter. Next to the dual-core 1.5 GHz processor driving the device, you will find 2 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory with microSD card slot for storage expansion. The power is delivered by a hefty 2,540 mAh battery that will keep the light on for far longer than some of the units used in truly high-end smartphones. The Optimus F7 will ship with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, so the OS is also nothing to complain about. Other features include, LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS navigation.
