LG L Bello & LG L FinoAt IFA 2014, the tech show to be held in Berlin next week, LG will launch two new affordable smartphones – LG L Fino and L Bello. As reported by LG, the company’s goal is to attract teenagers and first time smartphone buyers by launching these two middle-range priced smartphones. The duo is expected to be powerful yet affordable and will offer quite decent specs complete with 3G connectivity.

LG L Fino vs. LG L Bello

LG L BelloEven though both phones are decidedly mid-rangers they will sport some features that are found on the LG G3 such as Gesture shot, Rear Key button design, Knock Code system for unlocking the screen, the QuickCircle case, UX user interface and a front camera flash. The LG L Fino is a phone with a 4.5-inch 800 x 480 display at a pixel density of 207 ppi. The LG L Fino packs a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB of built-in storage, 8-megapixel main camera, VGA front facing snapper and 1,900 mAh battery.

The LG L Bello, on the other hand, is slightly larger and has better specs and than the L Fino. It sports a bigger 5-inch display with 854 x 480 resolution which translates to a lower pixel density of 196 ppi. The phone’s features include a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in-storage, an 8-megapixel main camera, 1-megapixel front-facing unit and 2,540 mAh battery. Both handsets will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

LG L FinoIt’s quite obvious that this new LG’s L series comes with better camera than other phones in the same price range because according to LG, consumer behavior research shows that camera quality has a major impact on purchase decision of buyers, especially amongst teenagers. On the flip side, color options for both handsets will be limited.

Exact prices and launch date are yet to be disclosed by the company. However, both devices will make their debut in “Key 3G markets” in Latin America and will soon be available in Europe, Asia and CIS.

Since the resolution of both these handsets is fairly low and also has no access to 4G, it may not be a threat to expensive smartphones but nevertheless can be tough competitors for the Moto G and Lumia.
