Some time ago LG initiated the strangest launch process the mobile world has been ever able to witness. Step by step, the manufacturer has been unveiling details concerning the highly-anticipated LG G4. First, we have learnt about the smartphone’s f/1.8 camera lens, a bit later about its 5.5-inch QHD screen. Yesterday we’ve also seen hints suggesting that there will be a leather variant of the phone. But this is not the end of surprises. LG has just announced to give away 4,000 units of the G4 to “test drive” its latest flagship smartphone.

We still know very scarce details concerning the phone. But LG has made an official statement according to which the South Korean mobile maker is going to grant 4,000 lucky folks from 15 countries from all over the world with a great chance to test their new phone ahead of its official premiere.
This rather intriguing initiative kicks off today in the company’s home country and is scheduled to spread to a great number of other countries within the next several days. The campaign covers 14 more countries except the mentioned South Korea, including: Turkey, Singapore, Indonesia, China, Brazil, India, the UK, France, Mexico, Hong Kong, Japan, Germany, Canada and the US.
The G4 testers are said to be ordinary consumers, not just the LG employees or people connected with press. The “test drive” participants will be chosen on the basis on application responses. Additionally, if you want to increase your chances to put your hands on the LG G4 as one of the very first users, you can do it by sharing your application experience on social network sites like Twitter or Facebook. No further details regarding the application process are known at this point. LG says all the information on how to become the G4 tester will be publish shortly on the company’s local sites.
If you’re lucky enough to be chosen for the G4 “test drive”, you will be able to use the phone for up to 30 days. However, you won’t be able to use it freely since LG will hand in the project’s participants various assignments to complete in the course of the test experience, promising special prizes.
When it comes to its official premiere, the LG G4 is scheduled to debut on April 28 during a special press event in New York.
