Many of us felt a pang of disappointment when LG didn’t bring the G4 to MWC this year and didn’t even hint when we could expect to see the device. However, we have a feeling that the delay was well planned by the manufacturer, or else the G3 successor would be just one of several great phones whose specs would eventually blend into one mix. Now, that all the excitement evoked by the likes of the One M9 and Galaxy S6 is slowly fading away, all eyes will be on the LG G4. And finally we know when you should be on the lookout for the handset – the LG G4 featuring the latest UX 4.0 will be officially announced on April 28th.
LG G4 will be officially introduced in three weeks
Yes, dear LG fans, the big day is just three weeks away, and no, it’s not another rumor. The date comes straight from LG itself so it can’t be more official. The company already started sending out invitations to the event which will take place in New York City at 11 AM EST.
The invitation follows a teaser which was released a couple of weeks ago and reveals a few interesting details regarding the phone, though most specs still remain a secret. The invitation shows the back of the phone, this time with camera, dual-LED flash, laser autofocus and back-mounted buttons. Apparently, the camera has f/1.8 aperture which means that it should take better photos in low-light conditions.
The LG G4 seems to be dressed in leather, although we can’t be 100% sure whether that’s the material LG used for the back panel. It may very well be faux-leather case just to score another point or two for appearance. Moreover, the G4 will ship with LG UX 4.0 with a bunch of new apps and functionalities including Quick Shot, Smart Notice, Smart Bulletin and more.
That’s all we officially know about the upcoming LG G4 so far, but as experience shows, the most juicy details usually leak out just before a device is announced. As soon as something interesting pops up, we will let you know immediately, so keep checking back with us.
