LG G3 Back PhotoThe LG G3 is almost here. A little over three weeks from today, on May 27th, we will know everything there is to know about the Korean company’s flagship phone for 2014. As the date approaches, leaks and rumors pick up intensity. Some of them are worth our attention, others not so much. Today, however, we a have a real treat for you. Live photos of the LG G3 leaked out online which give as a nice picture what to expect in terms of the phone’s design and build.

The New LG G3 Phone – What to expect.

LG G3 Live PhotoThe new LG G3 apparently features unibody design with glossy plastic covering its back and sides. If you were hoping for a self-healing coating like the one on the LG G Flex, apparently it’s not an option. The rear-mounted button sits where we expect it would, though it doesn’t look like a button at all. In fact, if we didn’t know it is a button, we could easily mistake it for some sort of ornament, since it fits snugly in the back panel and doesn’t protrude in the least.

The bottom of the phone houses a micro USB port and headphone jack. Even though the front of the handset is shown from a side and we can’t see it clearly, it’s obvious that it has incredibly slim bezels, especially on both sides and top. The bottom bezel is the fattest and sports something that appears to be LG logo. Slim bezels are a feature that most users really like because they allow the manufacturer to use big screen while keeping the size of the phone more compact which consequently makes one-handed usage much easier.

The photos came with a list of specs which the LG G3 is expected to pack. The phone is believed to arrive in two versions – one with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage, the other with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. Other than that, both should be identical and are believed to offer 5.5-inch display with QHD 2,560 x 1,440 resolution, microSD card support, a 1W speaker, a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and optical image stabilization, a 3,000 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat on board.

There is the possibility that the device in the photos is not the LG G3 but some other phone, or an early prototype meaning that the final product could look different. For now, enjoy the images but keep open mind, and check back for more news.
