LG Volt aka LG F90 arrives to Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile prepaid carriers

The LG Volt running on lighting fast Sprint’s Spark network has just arrived at Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile prepaid carriers. The device belongs to the latest iteration of LG’s F series which skillfully combines decent hardware and software with budget-friendly prices. The phone is available for purchase online and in stores for an affordable price of $179.99. Since Boost and Virgin Mobile are prepaid carriers, no long-term contracts are required.

LG Volt Virgin MobileThe LG G Volt known also as LG F90 was announced earlier this year at the MWC 2014 along with its smaller brother, the LG F70. The LG Volt sits somewhere between lower and mid tier but comes with a few features that even a higher-end handset would be proud of. For starters, the phone has a massive 3,000 mAh battery which is rated at up to 24 hours of talk time. Not only is battery life well above the average for a smartphone, but the unit is also removable, which is always a nice bonus.

The LG Volt ships with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and a full suite of LG apps such as QuickMemo for creating personalized memos and QSlide for effortless multitasking. LG made sure that the Volt will keep you entertained and equipped the device with QuickRemote which will turn your phone into a universal TV remote, and Next Radio which will allow you to listen to your favorite FM radio stations on the go. EasyHome provides quick and easy access to the most often used features right from the homescreen and Guest Mode comes in handy when you share your phone with another user. The LG Volt also supports Knock Code and KnockON features.

On the hardware front the handset offers a 4.7-inch display with 540 x 960 resolution, a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot for further expansion up to 32 GB. The phone sports dual cameras – the main shooter is an 8-megapixel unit while the front-facing camera has a 1.3-megapixel sensor. Other features include tri-band LTE Sprint Spark, Smart LED Alerts, IR blaster, NFC and Bluetooth 4.0.

The device comes in two color options: blue for Boost Mobile operator and white for Virgin Mobile.
