Just last week, we reported that the chances were high that the LG G Pro 2 could be unveiled next month. Now we know for sure that it will be showcased at MWC 2014 because LG itself confirmed the news. As it usually happens, the closer the announcement day, the more rumors and leaks appear and the LG G Pro 2 is no exception. In addition to last week’s set of rumored specs, we now have been treated to photos allegedly portraying the successor of the LG Optimus G Pro.
LG G Pro 2 Phablet – What we know so far…
Design-wise, the G Pro 2 seems to follow in the footsteps of LG’s other recently released flagship phones, the G2 and G Flex, though the body won’t be curved, obviously. The phone has volume and power buttons on the back, above which rests a camera with flash. On the lower part of the back plate you can find a loudspeaker and LG logo.
The side photo of the device doesn’t reveal much, except that there appear to be no hardware buttons. The photos show the LG G Pro 2 dressed in white, but it may be available in more color options when it is released.
According to the latest reports, the LG G Pro 2 is said to have a 6-inch display most likely with 1080p resolution rather than the expected 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The phone is rumored to be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor which will possibly tick along 3 GB of RAM.
