Remember the LG G Pad 8.3 Android tablet that debuted last year with two versions, which one of them was Google Play edition? Up until now the tablet was available only with Wi-Fi at a price of $349. Today we have good news for those users who need cellular connectivity on the go. Verizon Wireless has released its own version of the LG G Pad 8.3 with 4G LTE radio on board. Need an alternative to Google Nexus 7 LTE or iPad Mini Wi-fi + Cellular? Here is one.
Deal on LG G Pad 8.3 4G LTE for Verizon
But wait, there is more. If you purchase the LG G Pad 8.3 4G LTE before March 10th, you will pay only $99.99 as long as you sign up a new two-year contract with the carrier. After that day, the slate will set you back $199.99, again on contract. You can add the tablet to More Everything plan for additional $10 per month.
If you prefer not to get tied to Verizon for the next two years, you can grab the LG G Pad 8.3 outright for $299.99. Since the price is $50 lower than that of Wi-Fi version, you can expect these models to undergo some price cuts in the coming weeks.
The LG G Pad 8.3 was launched a few months ago and since then has been a worthy competitor to the Nexus 7 and iPad Mini. With the exception of the LTE radio compatible with Verizon bands, the new version of the LG G Pad 8.3 is the same as the ones that were released last year.
The slate still sports a 8.3-inch 1920 x 1080p Full HD display packed into compact body with slim bezels and powering the device is a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor. There is also 2 GB of RAM on board with 16 GB of internal memory along with microSD slot for storage expansion.
Camera experience is delivered by a 5-megapixel rear sensor and 1.3-megapixel front-facing snapper. The tablet also features a 4,600 mAh battery, dual stereo speakers on the back, and an Infrared port to facilitate remote control.
The LG G Pad 8.3 ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, however, LG promises 4.4 KitKat update in a few months.
