The LG G Flex is the only smartphone on the market that is bent around horizontal axis. The device, sometimes dubbed “banana” phone, has been available for only a month in the US and it has already seen a pretty decent discount on Amazon. The retailer is currently offering the AT&T version of the handset for just $149.99. Since the carrier is asking $299.99 for the G Flex, you can to have the phone exactly for 50% off of its regular retail price if you opt for Amazon.
Deal on LG G Flex “Banana” Phone for AT&T
This deal on LG G Flex for AT&T is good for new customers signing a two-year contract or for those adding a new line to a family plan. If you are an existing AT&T customer eligible for upgrade, Amazon will sell you the phone for $199.99. It may not be as sweet as those $149.99, but it is still $100 less than what you would have to pay at the carrier’s store. Of course, upgrading users will need to sign a new two-year agreement as well.
LG G Flex’s unique shape is not the only feature worth mentioning about the handset. The phone itself is a pretty decent piece of hardware with its 6-inch curved 1280 x 720 OLED display, a 2.26 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.
The handset comes with 32 GB of internal memory, a hefty 3,500 mAh battery and a whole set of connectivity features including 4G LTE radio, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, and NFC. Photographic experience is delivered by a 13-megapixel rear camera as well as a 2.1-megapixel front-facing shooter. The LG G Flex runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box but LG promises that 4.4 KitKat update will be available soon.
