LG G Flex 2 for Sprint is now available for pre-order in two colors: Volcano Red and Platinum Silver
One of the most anticipated smartphones of this year, the LG G Flex 2, was introduced to the world at Consumer Electronics Show back in January. That same month the curved handset went on sale in Korea, LG’s home market, however, potential buyers in other markets weren’t so lucky and had to wait a little bit longer. The wait is finally over, though, at least for US customers, and the LG G Flex 2 for Sprint is now available for pre-order via carrier’s online store.

Sprint is offering its subscribers two payment options to get the phone. First, the G Flex 2 can be had for full retail price of $504 excluding taxes. If you can’t afford to pay that much up front, you can opt for Sprint Easy Pay installment plan which will allow you to pay off the phone in 24 monthly payments of $21 each. The device will start shipping on March 13th.
Just like its predecessor, the LG G Flex 2 for Sprint has a curved body which makes it one of a kind in terms of design. The phone’s unique shape, however, also has practical purpose – it brings the microphone closer to user’s mouth thus improving audio quality during the calls. The handset also keeps the self-healing coating on the back which was introduced with the first generation Flex.
Spec-wise, the Flex 2 offers everything you would expect of a high-end phone. It features a large 5.5-inch Full HD display, a snappy 2.0GHz quad-core Snapdragon 810 chip and generous 3GB of RAM. Other key features include expandable storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilization and Laser Auto Focus as well as a 2.1-megapixel user-facing camera. And let’s not forget the battery which is a 3,000 mAh unit with a fast-charging feature, supplying a 50 percent charge in just under 40 minutes. The Flex 2 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
The LG G Flex 2 is one of the hottest phones of 2015 not only because of its premium specs but mostly due to its unconventional shape and a few neat tricks such as self-healing back. No wonder it attracts so much attention. Did it catch your eye too?
