LG announced a new series of smartphones whose biggest selling point is feature called „FullVision” display. The new line at the moment consists of three models including the Q6, Q6 Plus, and Q6α. All three devices are mid-range handsets with affordable pricing combining essential specs of the LG premium phones.
LG Q6+, LG Q6 and LG Q6α debuts with elegant metallic design, FullVision technology and selected premium features of the flagship G6.
The newly announced LG Q6, LG Q6 Plus, and LG Q6α are simply different variants of one device. No wonder then they have few things in common. All the variants share the same premium design language as the LG G6 featuring slim bezels and 18.9 aspect ratio. The metal frame finish is made of 7000-series aluminum. Furthermore, they all sport 5.5- inch screen panels with FHD+ viewing quality and come driven by the octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor powering Android 7.1.1 Nougat. Meanwhile, Adreno 505 GPU takes care of graphics, while a 3,000 mAh battery will kept the phones alive.
As for optics, all three models have been packed with a 13MP primary camera sensor and a 5MP selfie snapper on the front capable of shooting 100-degree photos. What’s more, the camera system found in the Q6 line delivers face recognition.
Even though all three devices seem to be identical, they do differ in terms of RAM and ROM amount. The LG Q6 delivers 3GB RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. The phone will be available in Astro Black, Ice Platinum, Mystic White and Terra Gold color option. Dressed in Astro Black, Ice Platinum or Marine Blue, the LG Q6 + offers 4GB RAM and 64GB of native storage, while the Q6α provides its users with 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage space. The device will be sold in Astro Black, Ice Platinum and Terra Gold.
Speaking of the LG Q6 line availability and pricing, although their specifics still need official confirmation, LG unveiled that all three devices will be affordable offerings. They are expected to debut in August targeting Asia. Later this year the Q6 line devices will spread to Europe and North America. Judging by the specs the Q6 + will be the priciest of the trio.
