Tech world has been speculating on upcoming new Lenovo smartphone for a quite time already and the photos of which have been leaked on Teena’s database a little while ago have backed the rumors. Some of the pictures of the device have also been seen on the Chinese social network Weibo which is one of the most reliable sources of leaked materials. The name of the rumored phone is the Lenovo Vibe X2. Let’s take a look at the pictures.
Lenovo Vibe X2 shows off a side color gradient
Looking at the pictures, we can see that the device features a metal body. By looking at the side of the handset in pictures, the device looks like a pieced together form of a mobile that was made with three different colored thin slabs of metal. It looks pretty and unusual and may prove popular with people who love colorful devices. The Lenovo Vibe X2 does look a bit similar to the Xperia’s look. From the pictures, the device looks premium and quite sophisticated. On the right side of the device, the power/lock button along with volume rockers can be seen. There are also pogo pins on the back of the device for connecting accessories.
The Lenovo Vibe X2 is expected to come in two versions. The first one is known as the “X2-CU” which is said to be powered by a MediaTek MT6596M octa-core processor (four Cortex-A17 clocked at 2.0 GHz and four Cortex-A7 cores running at a frequency of 1.5 GHz). The second variant, is called the “X2-TO”, which will apparently feature a 2.2 GHz dual-core processor that is likely to bear Intel’s logo on it. But these are just speculations for now.
Aside from the above, the handset is said to be sporting a 5-inch IPS display with 1080 x 1920 resolution, internal storage of 16 GB along with 2GB of RAM. It is also expected to feature a 13-megapixel main camera with a 5-megapixel selfie taking front facing camera. As for software of the Vibe X2, it will supposedly be running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat which will come pre-installed on the device. As for power of the battery, Lenovo is not going to dissapoint you with 2,250 mAh battery that will extend your mobile’s activity time.
According to the leaked info, the Lenovo Vibe X2 is expected to go on sale on the third week of September. There is no information on this device from Lenovo itself, so much of the details of the mobile device is yet to be discovered. However, Vibe X2 is expected to be shown at IFA in Berlin.
The Chinese multinational company Lenovo was initially concentrating on manufacturing computer devices, but since 2012 it has entered the mobile business market and has created many different Android run devices. So, it comes as no surprise that Lenovo will try to grab attention of the consumers by introducing its new handset before the launch of iPhone 6, Huawei Ascend P7 and other upcoming smartphones. The handsets created by Lenovo are usually stylish, mobile market leading handsets that have great cameras, great battery life and run on powerful multicore processors. So, Lenovo Vibe X2 is expected to be a welcomed addition to the cell phone market.
